In Vitro Fertilization Without Eggs
In vitro fertilization is one of the most widely used assisted reproductive techniques in the world to help people achieve pregnancy. It is a very flexible fertility treatment, as it can be performed with both eggs and sperm of its own and those of a donor.
In this sense it is possible to achieve pregnancy through in vitro fertilization without having eggs of its own. since in both cases the success rate is 61%.
Female infertility is called the inability to conceive of pregnancy because of problems directly related to women.
Causes of infertility in women may be due to a number of factors such as:
Problems in egg production (This is due to failures in the endocrine system which can lead to an absence of ovulation, as well as ovulation at unexpected times or deficiency in ovarian production).
Abnormalities in the fallopian tubes (This is due to obstruction in both fallopian tubes, place of the reproductive apparatus where fertilization occurs) or alteration in the motility of the tubes.
Cervical factor (This is due to blockages in the form of polyps or fibroids in the cervix, area where sperm should pass in the search for the egg or some infection at the cervical level)
Uterine disorders (e.g. uterine malformations, fibromatosis, endometritis)
Among other factors that generate problems of infertility in women is age, in this case time negatively influences a woman's fertility, the best conditions usually occur until the age of 35. as the woman's age increases, her ovarian reserve and the quality of her eggs decreases.
In vitro fertilization with egg donation (ovodonation)
In the event that the woman has a low ovarian reserve, there is the possibility of in vitro fertilization with eggs from an anonymous donor, in this case the one that will go through ovarian stimulation will be the donor to whom the treatment has been completed will be performed the puncture of oocytes, procedure in which the eggs are extracted and then fertilized by the culture of embryos and finally implanted in the uterus of the positive termination of pregnancy.
